About the artist

Primarily self taught, Fiona has spent time developing her skills with the life form. Involved in a number or exhibitions and commissioned for both life and still life, she has worked in a range of mediums, being most well known for her work in pastel nudes. In recent times she has experimented combining figurative work with various textures and layering techniques with oils. Finding the depth of colour and body in the oil paint an interesting contrast to working with the flat surface of pastels.

Fiona’s current style reflects her ability to create mood and expression. Capturing women in various poses and gestures, Fiona shows a range of feelings in women varying from playfully sensual, quietly pensive to gracefully elegant. Her attention to detail in developing these figures has lead to her increasing popularity.

As an emerging artist with a strong following Fiona has recently experienced four very successful exhibitions.
