Angelo Quabba is an artist with passion. His paintings express a zest for life and encompass a rich diversity of subject, from huge landscaped and dramatic still life to intimate scenes, portraits and figure studies. Angelo’s oil painting have a distinctive flair, joie de vivre, is one way to describe his work, because every piece seems full of vitality and spontaneity. He appreciates the character of old buildings, interesting people and the dignity of older folk. He has recorded many of these observations in drawing and painting activity – the diversity of life being a visual stimulus. Angelo won the Sir Arthur Streeton Award along with numerous other awards and has been a finalist in the Alice Bale Scholarship.
